Whas dat? Ohhhh Whas Dis?

Brody is a bundle of fun to listen to these days. He's been saying the same phrases for months now and it still cracks me up. "I made a mess" is probably still my favorite. We were at the Zoo last week and Brody had strangers laughing by his pronunciation of Rhinoceroses. Brody was calling them "asses." Brody is really demanding and authoritative with his language use lately. I feel like I'm being ordered around. Daddy has Brody has mama well trained.

Bring on the Green!

And I don't mean St Patty's Day! I am so excited for Spring and can't wait for the world around us to green up. The weather this weekend was wonderful. Brody begged to go outside like every other day, but much to his surprise, I obliged. When it came time to go inside, he threw a crying fit. He had a ball playing in our backyard. The first picture shows a reverse Duke's of Hazard style of entering and exiting his truck. On Sunday, I took Brody to Maryville Park and he did a face plant onto a metal platform and didn't even shed a tear. I guess he was too busy to care. He bloodied his lips just a little, but never missed a beat.

My Valentines

I took my two Valentines to Chuck E Cheese!!! Brody got pushed around by a little girl half his size. He took it like a gentleman and just ignored her. The highlight of the evening was playing skeeball! Brody loved it. Dada was going to let him cheat and crawl up the path to the bucket.

Bored! and into everything!

I started the month out with an email to Nana to not be alarmed if she found Brody on her doorstep. Brody has devised clever ways to distract me to get something he wants. A prime example would be when he went into the kitchen and opened the dishwasher and started playing with the silverware (knives to be exact). I quickly rushed him out and closed the dishwasher. In the seconds it took to do so, Brody had ran back in the living room and grabbed my fruit punch. In attempting to drink it, he spilled it everywhere! Later that evening he did the same thing again. I guess I need to start drinking out of sippy cups.

The icing on the cake took place during our bedtime routine. Brody got out of the bath tub and streaked down the hall...ran to the corner of his room....AND PEED! Brody has not even tingled outside his diaper since he was an infant. I literally just sat down and cried.

Buckethead!

Brody is a walking, talking goofball. He runs around the house with a bucket on his head wanting someone to kiss him through it. Remind anyone of the movie, Parenthood? Ha. It seems strange to not have a growth update, but between 18 months and 2 years, there are no appts to the doctor except sick visits. I can say that Brody will articulate and can recognize all the letters of the alphabet expect V, W, G, & J. He doesn't sing the alphabet song, but loves when you sing it to him. Brody also enjoys doing the hand motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider...so cute.

Ready for Spring!!! PLEEEEAASSSSEE

Brody has added quite a few new words and phrases to his vocabulary. A quick sampling would be.... "I see you"... my favorite... "PLEEEASSE" He is so cute. It is very hard to deny him anything these days when he says "PLEEASSE". Brody even said "Gerald" when we were visiting Grandma, Dinah and Uncle Gerald.

Let it Snow!!!

Brody's number one wish every day is to go outside. So, today we bundled him up and went to play in the snow. Brody loved the snow and thought it was funny until the cold hit him. We had quite the battle when it was time to come inside. Brody was not happy at all.
