Let it Snow!!!

Brody's number one wish every day is to go outside. So, today we bundled him up and went to play in the snow. Brody loved the snow and thought it was funny until the cold hit him. We had quite the battle when it was time to come inside. Brody was not happy at all.

The Wealth of Being Santa's Favorite

Brody must have been on Santa's favorite list. He received very nice gifts for staying off the naughty list. We had a lot of fun playing with all the new toys. He wasn't quite into opening his gifts yet, but he sure was impatient about trying to get the toys out of the boxes. I can't believe that manufacturers actually screw toys into the box? What's that all about?

Dear Santa....

Well, I must have been on Santa's nice list this year. After 8 months of disappointment, I asked for only one thing for Christmas. A BABY! We are due in August of 2010!

Christmas in Chi-town

Brody saw Santa in Chicago this year. We celebrated a week early with Nana and Papa Sample. Brody got a big wheel and looked like such a big boy on it.

This Christmas season was not as eventful as i thought it might be. Brody was a good boy and didn't mess up the tree or open any presents.

Mean Sick Baby!!!!

1. Here is a list of antics from today....Brody ripped my glasses off my head stripping the screw and making the lens fall out
2. He beat the crap out of the Christmas tree because he was mad at me
3. He threw himself down and cried about a dozen times
4. He didn't get his way and literally kicked the lazy susan open and in one swipe emptied everything into the floor (this actually happen the other day, but was worth mentioning)
5. He threw all his books off his bookshelf and into the toybox

So, I am going to hurt someone!! I'm a little short tempered and emotional today anyway, so I can't figure out if I need to cry or beat the crap out of him. grrrrrrrrr

Not Enough Credit

My baby literally amazes me. I have nothing to compare his knowledge to, since he is our only child, but WOW!!!! Today, Brody is sick and we are watching My Baby Can Read together. Brody reads the words on the screen like it's nothing. He can either speak the word or act out the word before any audio response. UNBELIEVABLE. I totally recommend this DVD set. I need to video record this sometime, because I think some folks wouldn't believe me. Crazy! Okay, I'm done bragging on my sweet man.

New Profession

Brody and I went to visit Grandma Farmhouse and Aunt Dinah on Monday. We made cookies and banana cake. Brody was our cookie tester. He, of course, loved them all. Brody was memorized by the kitties hanging out in the kitchen window. Brody also seemed scared of Uncle Gerald, but then warmed up after Uncle Gerald played ball with him.

OUTSIDE...SIDE SIDE SIDE SIDE SIDE SIDE OUTSIDE!!!!

Brody tries to wear me down on a daily basis. He begs and pleads to go outside. He'll even turn on the tears and whine. Finally, once and a while I can't take it anymore and I bundle the little dude up and let him have his way. The poor baby's snotty nose freezes to his face and I'm sure he's bitterly cold crawling around on the ground and swinging, but he loves it.

Brody has added a few new words to his ongoing mental dictionary. Cheese, Bubble (which means balloon to him), Shirt, Lion, Tree, Go, Door, Santa, Sesame Street (which sounds sooo adorable).
